Singing from Empty

Often we imagine celebrating after great victory. Perhaps a promotion at work or a significant salary increase could be cause to go out for supper at a nice restaurant. When situations don’t work out as planned, you might feel disappointed and lose your smile. Although life can give you some unwanted things, it is important not to lose your song.

Things happen that you don’t understand. Sickness or the loss of a loved one can cause you to stop on your tracks and the resulting grief can be paralyzing.   Although sad situations are inevitable, you must continue. Pressing forward through life’s challenges is necessary so you don’t become trapped in the problems of the past.

Even when you feel empty, keep on singing. Why? Better days are ahead.

Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child. Isaiah 54:1 • 780-532-0649.
